Yaping Qiao-Coster

Yaping Qiao is a keen swimmer who represented her home country, China, as a member of the Chinese national swim team. Her passion for the sport gave way to one of Yaping’s biggest achievements in life – winning the national title for the 400 to 800 meter freestyle race three years in a row. When Yaping moved to New Zealand to create a freer life for her family, she utilised her degree in teaching to coach swimming at the North Shore swim club, where she worked under the direction of the New Zealand coach, Jan Cameron.

In 2006, Yaping decided to take a different path and pursue her other passion – property. Having invested in a number of properties herself, Yaping wanted to focus her time helping other people
achieve their property goals. Her experience as a member of a national Chinese swim team taught her about time management, dedication, task focus and communication. She brings all of those skills to her real estate career and, in doing so, has managed to establish many happy client relationships.

Yaping is committed to offering her clients patience and sound advice. Yaping says, “I don’t push my clients into deals. They need to make their own decisions based on accurate information that I can provide.”

Yapping operates in Greenlane, an area she enjoys selling because of the nice homes and the top schools. She works as part of the Barfoot & Thompson Greenlane team, which she joined because of the great training opportunities they provide for new agents. Their reputation within the industry is built on excellent customer service, and training is part of ensuring that their clients stay happy, life long customers.
